In light of M-Bone, aka Mante Talbert, of Cali Swag District's murder, I thought I might post up a lil dubstep remix of "Teach Me How to Dougie." It's really a shame that things like this happen. It seems like Mante was in the wrong place at the wrong time. You best believe my next gig that calls for some dubstep will include this heater. I'll be the DJ doing the Dougie in the booth.

AVICCI - LEVELS (Summer Anthem Alert!)
Now this is going to be a summer anthem. Apparently an unfinished version of this song was leaked under the name “ID”. The addicting synth melody that forms at the beginning of the song goes away and leads to a anthem type phrase that is going to get any club hyped. As soon as the song starts, imagine people clubbing on a beach or warm city. I got that feeling right away. A bit more into the song, a simple line of vocals drop in over a low bass-line. Now I imagine a whole club singing these words in unison waiting for the beat to drop again. 1 word … Epic! Take a listen.

The Urban Nerdz - Don't $.T.O.P.
Check out this video from The Urban Nerdz.
DON'T $.T.O.P. (Submit To Obligate Pressure)
This record can be listened to and judge in so many ways without grasping the concept to what is really being constructed. The real message behind this song is GREED.
Greed in the bible is described as on of the seven deadly sins.
- GREED: Covetousness is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual.
We are trying to send a subliminal message within the song to let our fans and listeners know that greed is a poison and will ultimately destroy you.
The song itself consumes listeners within the first 15secs of the record, just as greed will.
The motive behind this record is to come up with a sound that people will love and want to play over and over again while getting a message at the same time.

Childish Gambino - Freaks and Geeks
It was about 1 in the morning chilling with my friends when I stumbled upon this track by Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover ... yes that Donald Glover). Now, I knew this dude had some tracks out already, but I hadn't heard this one yet and it blew all three of us (me, my girlfriend, and my boy Mike) away. The instrumental is epic and the lyrics are insane. You can't look me in the eye after watching this and tell me you aren't feelin' him ... Truth. Favorite line:
My dick is made of carrots
Bunnies wanting to be fed, and I meant honeys, Oh forget it

FBG NORTH CLOTHING
Ok, real quick, I want to focus on a clothing line that is too dope for words. FBG NORTH is the brainchild of Marquis Thibodeaux of Boston, MA and the official brand of K.i.T.. Here's what Marquis has to say about his growing brand:
FBGNorth is an up and coming clothingline/brand straight out of Boston, Massachusetts, with FBG standing for, Fresh Baked Goods and the North, because there is a south. (I wonder how you find it?) So, yeah to describe a little more about the clothing; many of our designs are drawn by hand, believe it or not with a very good attention to detail. We do look at ourselves as a streetwear brand but more so on the retro-spective/updated with even throwing a little bit of a far east feel into the mix. First and foremost, we hope you appreciate the clothing, and believe us when we say, 'if it is ugly, we wouldn't be selling it.' So we hope you enjoy, and we hope to help maintain your fresh.
You already know I have an FBG shirt (The KiT one ... got it for his EP Release show). The fit is nice, the designs are sick and there are men's and women's sizes. I highly suggest hitting up Marquis for some shirts because they are going to get very popular very quickly; and you want to be ahead of the curve ... don't you?

Stereo Crowd - I Got It
Sup everyone! Just watched this new music video for "I Got It" by Stereo Crowd. This jam has everything people like: live instruments, rapping, female rapping and a music exec in the beginning. Seriously though, these guys are pretty damn good. Incubated on the rooftops of South Harlem, Stereo Crowd, with its undeniable stage presence and renowned nurturing of audience participation, is quickly becoming known as New York City’s Ambassadors of Urban Alternative. Stereo Crowd’s sound is a Black Eyed Peas style hip-hop combined with the amped-up angst of The Black Keys, live band flexibility of the Roots, sprinkled with Soul and R&B. If you haven't heard anything from Stereo Crowd, check them out at www.stereocrowd.com ... ALSO, one of my new favorite MCs is featured on this track: SciryL. Dude is DOPE!

Kanye West Set @ Coachella
I know not everyone was able to get to Coachella (neither was I), but I was able to check out the video of Kanye West's performance. This was probably one of the best hip hop sets I have ever seen. Each song that came on gave me the "ooohhh shiiit" reaction and that's something I expect when watching one of my favorite artists. If you all haven't seen this performance, you should. You're going to get stuck sitting in your chair staring at the computer screen as for 45 minutes as soon you hit play. ENJOY!

Follow Your Hero - Watch Your Hands Video
Check out this dope video from Follow Your Leader, another Northeastern University band. For all you unsigned Band lovers, you guys are gonna dig this for sure. I had a class with lead singer Kevin Garcia and he's the man. I've become a big fan of these guys and this video is sick. (Video just debuted tonight!)
K.i.T. - The Quest for Equilibrium
Aight, this post holds a special place in my heart; not only because its my first post, but because this mixtape is incredibly important to me. About a year ago, I met K.i.T. at my college's dining hall and decided I would help manage his young rapping career. This dude then became a great friend of mine and in the span of a year, took flight as an MC. Man this guy goes hard. He had been working on this mixtape for about 6 months, dedicating his heart and soul to it, and the hard work paid off. When you take a listen to The Quest for Equilibrium, you will be taken on a journey through a young guy's heart and mind while he finds his true self and shares it with the world. It might even make you change yourself. I'm telling you, this mixtape is SERIOUS. From track one it will grip all the hip hop heads and even people who don't listen to the genre regularly. I hope you all enjoy it. Please cop it TODAY
